OH, THE HORROR!
Or are these comments even more horrifying? Well, ingnorant?
The things that come out of people's mouths when someone or something steps outside the norm are ridiculous.
It was cool when Shakira and Christina walked around with dreads, but when Rihanna (who's actually closer to the style in terms of culture) does it, all of these ugly comments are thrown out there. It only confirms the fact that black women in the entertainment industry must continue to hide their natural hair under straight wigs, lacefronts, or apply dangerous chemicals to their hair to appease the masses.
Moving on, people were actually saying they'll stop stanning for Rihanna because of her hairstyle. How superficial can you be? Are you a fan of her music or her style? What does what she chooses to do with her hair have anything to do with her music?
Fun fact:
People all around the globe have dreadlocks. Guess what? They're not all black! Shocker, right?!
