Rita Ora performing @ Made in America Festival
PHILADELPHIA - May 21, 2012 (WPVI) -- After a week of wait, the lineup for the music festival, to be hosted by Jay-Z in Philadelphia, has been announced.
The artists announced are: Jay-Z, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Odd Future, D'Angelo, Maybach Music (feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill), Passion Pit, Santigold, Dirty Projectors, X, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, Savoy (DJ set), The Knocks.
The above list is being called Phase 1 of the Budweiser Made in America Fest.
Some of the artists couldn't wait for the official announcement and they made it known on their own.
"We are pleased to announce that Pearl Jam is headlining Made in America Music Festival curated by Jay-Z. Made in America takes place Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, September 1st - Sunday, September 2nd) at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park," Pearl Jam'swebsite reads.
Pearl Jam's sites state the exact performance date and time will be announced in a few weeks.
Last Monday, the 14-time Grammy Award winner announced he is going to curate and headline the multi-day music festival on the Ben Franklin Parkway this Labor Day weekend.
Called the "Budweiser Made in America Festival," the two-day event will be stretched across three stages on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park on Saturday, September 1, and Sunday, September 2.
Budweiser and Live Nation are producing the performances, and an undetermined chunk of money will go to the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
Tickets for the event are set to go on sale on Wednesday, May 23, through Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com. A limited number of 2-day tickets will be available for $99 (plus service charges). Tickets will be made available a day early on Tuesday, May 22 on Budweiser Facebook fan page.
