The gifs are too perfect. I change the title, reply to as many people as possible, bump it at a later time, or just abandon it.

Abandon it. A lot of my base threads are very local, I don't expect a lot of replies in the first place.

I change it to something controversial.

I don't get this obsession with having a hit thread.
