Perry takes 2.75 million for NYC Penthouse

It seems Katy Perry is keen to move on from her marriage to Russell Brand, with reports suggesting she's forked out a million dollars to refurbish their marital home.
Back in April, TMZ claimed that Brand had given the Part Of Me singer his share of their £4million mansion in Los Angeles, which the pair had purchased together during their 14-month marriage.
The Daily Star has since reported that K-Pez, who is now apparently dating Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, spent a whopping £650,000 on making changes to the house so she is not reminded of Russell.
A member of Perry's team told the newspaper: "Katy’s fed up of having memories of Russell everywhere. They bought the house together last year after getting married but she’s decided to completely refurbish it.
“It’s under construction and has been for a few months since their divorce. It’s not easy for Katy to move on with her life following their split, as her home is full of wedding memories."
They continued: “It’s now her house and she wants to completely change the colour inside and add some crazy decor and furnishings.
“Katy can’t bear to sell it, she loves it. But she’s there all alone with her two cats and her brother so needs it to feel like home.”
The 27-year old has already sold the New York penthouse she once shared with Russell, with The New York Post reporting Katy received $2.75million for the property.
