Discussion: Remember When Glee Was Worth A ****?

I don't know what the **** happened, but the last few episodes of Glee have just been absolutely boring, tacky, and careless. The covers suck, and there's not even motivation for me to even watch the rest of the damn season.

To remind myself that I'm a big fan of Glee (particularly their first season), let's all look at their best covers from when they truly put in more effort than just a look at the Billboard Hot 100's top 10.

Santana will remain one of the most underrated/underexposed TV characters of the decade.

I agree. I haven't watched the last two episodes and I'm not that excited to watch them.

I'm beginning to just not watch it. I mean, they did Dinosaur by Ke$ha.

The episode itself must be stupid as hell if they're going to do such a song. God, the series has gone down the drain.

This new cast for season 4 better give Ryan Murphy some new ideas, cause damn.

I totally forgot about Glee until earlier today. I checked my DVR and there were 3 recorded episodes that I haven't watched.

They weren't too bad though. The Whitney episode wasn't bad. The Beiste storyline was alright I guess. And poor Rachel failing her audition, that was sad.

Season One was perfection. Season Two was complete and utter trash. Season Three, although much better than Season Two, lacks that certain factor that makes you excited to watch every week.

Um, along with the usual (Finn/Rachel/Kurt), Season 3 has been full of Santana. She's far from underrated or underexposed.

YES! Exactly!

Season 3 started off so well. The first half (almost exactly, honestly) was great! It was waaay better than season 2 and I was excited. And then all of these episodes minus like one or two haven't been up to par.

The declining ratings show that it's not just us thinking this.

The first half of the first season was really well done. After that, it just got worse and worse.

I will say that I LOVE what they did with Toxic though (Santana's riffs at the end are just perfect). My favorite Glee covers are the ones that actually change the song around.

She doesn't get nearly enough solos and songs. The most she got was the all-girls group and that's gone already. They should've kept it in all honesty, Mercedes and Santana seem to be the only consistent members of the show.

I finally was able to jump ship and stay gone in January. The show has been beyond horrible since season 2 and just keeps topping itself in horribleness with each new episode. I was such a huge fan of the show first season, it was my fav on tv at the time. The ratings are falling too though so it seems that alot of people are feeling this way.

Devin, it's been like that all of season three. As soon as I saw Quinn and that pink hurr, I knew that Glee was about to take a PLUNGE down.

It already seemed like it was trying too hard to be interesting, almost, at that point, so after a few episodes, I just jumped onto watching SMASH like Rem suggested.

I stopped after the 2nd episode from this season. It was one of my favorite,now it's just crap.

I still watch it, but I've missed the last few episodes. I would've cared about this more in the beginning, but now...

Their plot lines and covers are so messy now. I hope they just hit the refresh button with the new season to bring in something FRESH to the show, and not the same rehashed cliches.

I mean, do you want her to sing every song?

I honestly can't even remember anything that has happened this season

I had no idea the ratings were declining

I actually thought with some of the characters graduating, the ratings would increase.
