A few reasons why the Celtics will win the NBA Finals
The Lakers are one game away from being only the 9th team in NBA history to blow a 3-1 series lead
- The Miami Heat have no answer for Rajon Rondo
- Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum are absolutely choking in the playoffs
- Dwyane Wade and LeBron James can't win a championship by themselves
- The Sixers are worse than the Hawks
- There's no way in HELL the Clippers are getting past the Spurs
- Stern wants the ratings and wouldn't dare put the boring ass Spurs in the Finals
- KG, Rondo, and an injured Pierce are amongst the best players in the playoffs so far
- Doc Rivers is the best coach in the playoffs
- The Celtics are the best franchise in NBA history and destined Banner 18
- No other team matters, but the Celtics
- Russell Westbrook got off to a hot start but will eventually choke
- People with receding hairlines don't win championships
All have been proven so far

The Celtics will not win. The Spurs, Heat, and Thunder are the front runners. I can't with #13 though the Celtics are older than the Spurs

Correction sir, their core is older than the Spurs, but Rondo and the rest of the team is not.
Heat ain't winning ****.
The biggest threat is the Thunder.
There's really no discussing it, to be honest. Banner 18 is fate.

No one from the East is going to win. If anyone, the Heat will.

Delusion at it's finest. Is that why the Celtics have a 3-1 record against the Heat this season? Rondo rips them to shreds and Bosh is KG's little bitch.

Not saying the C's can't get past the Heat. Just saying the winner is coming out of the West.
Preferably the Thunder, tho.

As long as the Lakers or Heat win... I'm actually ok with that. Can you imagine the meltdowns if Durant and Westbrook get rings before LeBron?

What kind of lame ass logic. The Spurs will wipe the Celtics asses up and down the basketball court.
Spurs vs. Heat or Thunder vs. Heat for the finals.
And I hate it when people use ratings and age as an excuse for the Spurs. Yes 2007 was one of the lowest ratings for the finals, but that's because the Cavs sucked ass and the series was a complete blowout. It's not that Spurs fault Lebron couldn't keep up
And are people stuck in 2009 or something? The Spurs have a **** load of new and young players added to the team which is why they have one of the best benches in the NBA right now.

There's really no debating it, tbh. Don't get mad. A Spurs fan? That's rare?
Nah on the real, I thought y'all could see that I was clearly trolling. I'm a huge Celtics fan, but Pierce and Ray are both injured and I don't see them getting past the ECF without them being 100% . I honestly just wanted a thread about the NBA playoffs and to spark discussion.

I'm from the San Antonio area.
And I wasn't really trying to argue. Spurs fans just get really emotional when people talk down about them cause they're so underrated.
But yes, I agree with you. Spurs, Thunder, Heat, and the Pacers are the big contenders.
I think which ever teams do make the finals will be a damn good series though.

The Pacers are a big team and may cause the Heat some match up problems, especially Paul George, but I honestly don't see them beating the Heat in the second round though I would love that. I do think whoever comes out of the West will win the championship; however, I think the Thunder will beat the Spurs in the WCF (no offense).
I understand you getting offended when people talk down on them though. People have been talking down on the Celtics for the past few seasons calling them old. They are old, but KG just posted 28 pts, 14 ast, 5 blk, 3 stl, and 2 ast last night. Pierce just has a 34 pts, 12 reb game the other day. There's no easy way to dismiss teams like the Spurs and Celtics. They have old cores, but they're veteran teams built for the playoffs. If Ray and Pierce weren't injured, I would say without a doubt, that they are capable of beating the Heat in a 7 game series, but now I honestly don't know.

No offense taken. The WCF is going to be a good 7 game series. I'm here for that.

Lakers still in it I'm hoping for some miracle for them to win it all but I just can't see it right now I still think they have a better chance than the Celtics though

I'm actually kind of baffled that people are writing off the Lakers as contenders. Their toughest challenge is coming up in this next series, but, if they get by the Thunder...I think that they could beat the Spurs and the East representative (probably the Heat).
I think that the Thunder will beat the Lakers, though it won't be easy. Winner of Spurs/Thunder wins the title...and I see Spurs in six. For now.

Their contenders alright but they are the 3rd best team in the West which is why they are wrote off. If they beat the Thunder I do agree they can beat the Spurs its just getting by OKC that is the big challenge
