Never. Parents who really love their child(s) don't hurt him/her emotionally .It just proves that they don't want the best for the child, from my own experience.
But physical hurting is for the child's best( at least in most of cases).
Being called a bitch from your own mother never gets old. And the audacity of them to get mad/hurt when you call her one right back (even as an adult).
