Justin Timberlake has confessed that he felt like a "moron" while in 'N Sync.
The Runner, Runner actor, who fronted the '90s boy band before embarking on a solo music career, revealed that he was unhappy with many of the choices he was asked to make by the group's record label.
"There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in," Timberlake said in a new interview with Details.
"And in trying to conform - we're marionettes! - I ended up looking like a moron."
Timberlake went on to say that his sense of style has since improved and he knows exactly what to avoid in order to look his best, adding: "I don't like when I see guys do too much hair gel.
"I don't mean Pauly D - because that's basically performance art. But when you use enough hair gel that your hair becomes a sculpture - and you wanted it to look that way? It's just weird."
I hate when artists do this. Everybody in life goes through awkard phases when they're young and most of us regret those phases but most of us don't have millions of dollars to show for it either.
