That's what I don't understand about the Demi fans supporting this move, sure it will increase her audience BUT at the end of the day the girl is NOT even 20 and doing reality shows, it just looks like a bad career move.

I agree with this. However Cheryl and Tulisa were just launching their solo careers in the UK when they started x factor and we all know Cheryl smashed and apparently Tulisas new single is predicted to go #1 on the charts. But I feel like if the x factor doesn't bring at least 15 mill+ ratings, demis career will suffer as much as the first season did.

She's a nice girl and all, but I just feel like Demi isn't the best choice for the show. I would rather her Host and Gwen Stephanie be the second female judge.

No matter what this is going to be a show ran by Britney Spears. Its basically going to be the Britney Spears Show featuring, Simon, La Reid, & Demi and a bunch of singers.

Reality shows can be good for your career. look at JLo and Xtina.
Plus this will expose Demi to a much larger and more importantly older audience who maybe see Demi as a kiddy disney star; and possibly change their minds.

Not at all, in UK, X factor made Cheryl and Tulisa huge. Demi is going to be introduced as a young talented artist, it's not like it's the end of her career, it's the opposite actually, it will give her more exposure than she ever had.

Y'all are being too damn pessimistic, saying that Demi is too young to be resorting to judging on a reality TV show. Maybe she's more of a trendsetter. Maybe she'll be the one to say it's ok to do something like this early on in your career. Her songs are great but she's struggling to breakthrough the mainstream music scene. Maybe this will be the bump she needs
