I'm looking forward to this.

Although I'm pretty sure this movie is cursed (not really, but it's very strange) Aaliyah was due to play Sparkle back in 2001, but she tragically died in a plane crash before she had the chance to film it. She was only 22. Then 11 years later, the film is back up and running and Whitney Houston dies aged only 48.

I know Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here on out.

I really hope this isn't a mess.

I'm definitely going to see this but I already was when they were filming it and doing interviews. I was so excited. So sad Whitney isn't here to witness it. Seems like she was really bringing it for this project.

She was so dedicated to this project and she's had it under her belt for over 10 years. That's why I don't get how some folks are upset that they're still releasing this. Whitney would want to finally share this with people!

You could tell how excited she was. There's no way she wouldn't want them to release it. I know just for myself, although it's bittersweet, it's good to see her like this.

Whit looks great, but this movie seems to lack the powerful vocalist that every musical needs.

Both Whitney and Jordin were praised for their vocal performances by those on set. Carmen Ejogo who plays Sister also has a great voice.

I was just thinking the same thing.. but either way I think it will be a very positive last memory for the general public to have of Whitney instead of the negativity that was at the forefront for so long
