Discussion: Was Trayvon Martin a drug dealer?

It’s becoming more and more clear however that the innocent appearance the mainstream media is so desperate to apply to Trayvon isn’t at all accurate. The picture we’re used to seeing to represent Trayvon Martin appears to be a far cry from how he actually looked once he was a few years older.

It's a long article spilling some potential information on Trayvon's life before his death. Apperently he was a drug dealer, had gang ties and was even suspended from school the night he was killed.

What do you think? Do you think that the writer was reaching on some of these allegations or do you think it's legit?

Tattoos doesn't mean your in a gang, and neither does wearing gold teeth. And he was suspended for being late, not because he was violent or anything of the sort. They are really trying hard to justify zimmerman, and they are failing.

This person really dug deep, and it shows how ignorant he or she is.

I have family in Florida, and it's common to wear grills, and you don't have to be a thug to do so either. Same thing goes for tattoos.

It is mentioned that he was not suspended for anything related to violence. And using some old tweets isn't strong evidence either.

None of this changes that the man got away from killing a young man and had witnesses to point out the wrongdoing.

We don't even know if he sold drugs or not,he seem to be a normal teenager doing what typical teenagers do..That still doesn't justify him being killed,the 911 operator told Zimmerman not to pursue the boy and let the police handle it.

He was unarmed. Zimmerman pursued him after the 911 operator told him not to. That's all that is relevant. We don't need character studies on the two. We know who provoked this. We know the end result. So we know what happened and who is responsible.

There's a certain segment of the population that prefers to stick their head in the sand when it comes to cases of racial bias, and this article is a prime example. The long jumping that they're trying to use to justify this murder is ridiculous, though not entirely surprising. BUT DON'T CALL THEM RACIST. That would offend them.

I think what the author is trying to get at is the media doesn't really show that "side" of him, you know?

That doesn't justify the killing in any sort of way but the article looked interesting because it defended Zimmerman on his part.
