I live in the basement. Which means it's bound to happen once in a great while. I just encountered a huge black one on the wall.
I have a phobia of spiders, i swear. I get 10 feet close to it, tremble, shake and run away in fear. It takes me an hour, I say, to finally kill it.
My strategy: Kill it before getting close. Sometimes I whack it with a broom so it's dead. Sometimes I spray bleach on it. Sometimes I spray that air refreshener on it that makes it smell good. ANYTHING that will kill it. So when I finally go down to pick it up and dispose of it, it's not moving.
right after I encountered this black spider, I look up in my bathroom and literally swallowed my tougne. A daddy long leg on the ceiling

Thankfully these I can kill easier, they aren't creepy looking
I need to man it up if I'm ever gonna get a boyfriend hahahaha.
