If ...Baby One More Time (the album) could sell 14 million copies from 3 hits and a more sales driven hit, imagine how many copies it would have sold if "Born To Make You Happy" was released in the US? 17 million?
The biggest mistake from the "...Baby One More Time" album (not that 14 million copies in the US and 25 million worldwide would indicate a mistake) would be not releasing "Born To Make You Happy' in the US. What were you thinking, Jive?
Amazing video, great vocals by Britney, a song most listeners have a soft spot for, and it remains one of Britney's biggest hits in Europe ever. I just love it to pieces.
She should perform this at least once more in her life, like during an acoustic live session of her hits / ballads / b-sides one day.
My heart is in pain everytime I think about Born To Make You Happy not being released in US.
It's such a wonderful song.
It hit #1 in so many countries and even got to #1 on WW chart if I remember well.
It is certainly the second best on the album.
What a stupid mistake.
BOMT would easily cross 15m and probably more.
Oh Jive.

I mean Born To Make You Happy reached #1 in UK but where did FTBOMBH peak in US? Sometimes even **** over FTBOMBH tbh.
The label.
#1 on single sales chart (over 800,000 copies sold physically, certified Platinum). #14 Hot 100, but flopped on radio (#16 Pop Radio, #56 overall). Jive only released physical singles for Britney singles when they weren't really big on radio from 1999-2001 (except for Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know).
