Details have been confirmed about the new album from revered soul artist Bobby Womack, which was produced by Damon Albarn and XL Recordings head Richard Russell.

The record is titled The Bravest Man in the Universe and will be out via XL on June 12 in the U.S. and June 11 in the UK. This is Womack’s first album of original material since 1994.

A vocal contribution from Lana Del Rey, which she hinted at on Twitter in December, is featured on the album cut “Dayglo Reflection”.

I support a Lana demo being re-recorded by Bobby Womack more than Cheryl Cole. Not sure why, I guess they fit better?

Zane Lowe has heard the song and said Lana is incredible on it. He said this in his Lana interview for his BBC radio 1 Show. It's on youtube (not the song, unfortunately, the interview).

PS I doubt she wrote the track as Albarn called her the day after seeing her on Jools and she went straight into the studio to record her vocal.
