SCREAM 5 (????)
The first choice for director on this film is veteran Wes Craven. It's said that he will be the first director to be approached after the completion of the final script. If he declines, they will have to find somebody to carry on the job. Writer Kevin Williamson who penned two installments of the trilogy has stated that he would not be writing for this film. This was caused by the dispute he had with franchise producer Bob Weinstein after Bob demanded rewrites of Kevin's original script.
SPOILERS
Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox and Marley Shelton will be approached to reprise their roles in the fifth movie as they were the only survivors of the fourth batch of killings. However, Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts' characters have loop holes in the script. Hayden's character 'Kirby' was brutally stabbed inn the chest twice outside of her home. Her character was still moving as the camera cut away from her scene. A noise can also be heard from outside, right about where she was stabbed. It is quite possible that Kirby got away. Emma Roberts portrayal of one of two killers, Jill, was extraordinary and is probably why Wes Craven changed her death scene from a shot in the head.. to a shot in the heart. It is very likely that she could return in Scream 5. Casting rumors include Johnny Simmons (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) and Tiya Sicar (Friends With Benefits).
