Prince Harry has allegedly set his sights on newly-single Katy Perry after learning that the singer has a crush on him.
According to the Daily Star, the royal hunk is 'desperate' for Katy - who split from hubby Russell Brand in December 2011 - to perform at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee gig this summer, so he can take the 27-year old out on a date.
Harry is said to be so smitten with Perry that he's asked event organiser Gary Barlow to make his Californian Dream happen.
A source told the tabloid: "Harry has a double reason for targeting Katy. First he thinks she is a rocking artist with great songs. But secondly she is single and very sexy.
“He sees this as an opportunity to get close to Katy. And he is confident his charm will win her over. And although Katy may have ended it with Russell, she still has a soft spot for wild boys.”
The likes of Stevie Wonder, Kylie Minogue and Elton John are all confirmed to perform at the event, due to take place in front of Buckingham Palace on 4th June - with Harry and brother Prince William apparently suggesting the likes of Rihanna and Kanye West to join the line up.
Speaking of the rumours that Perry may be added to the roster, a spokesperson for the BBC - who will broadcast the concert - stated: "Any new names for the concert are pure speculation.”
A Buckingham Palace spokesman added: “The princes have not had any input into suggesting names.”

Then all she'll need to do is make William disappear and she'll become Queen Katheryn I. Who needs to be Queen of Pop when you're Queen of the Commonwealth.
