Minority people are said to be playing the race card when bringing up an injustice based on one's race, but are white people also prone to exhibiting such behavior? A professor of mine, who's well respected in the field of Africana, brought up this ruminative question, and I marveled at how right the validity of this question. I am in no way generalizing all white people - I'm not ignorant - or trying to incite some sort of race riot; I'm just asking if others believe it is not confined to minorities solely, especially after seeing videos like the one below.
Last March, a classmate of mine told me that I only got accepted to the universities at which I was accepted was because of my race. He then proceeded to say that he was rejected from the same ones because of his. He only stopped bombarding me with questions and insults after I told him what my SAT scores were. I've seen behavior like this my whole life, but I never thought of the expression playing the race card being applied to whites. Is playing the race card a minority thing? Chime in below.
Yes I do believe that white people can play the race card. I think sometimes people do it unknowingly and sometimes there's instances where they purposely do it to make a statement or point but I believe anyone can.
Yes... most of the time the person that brings race into the conversation is one of my white acquaintances. Also i hate the term "race card"... it trivializes the real issue at hand.

The idiots do, just like every other race. Seeing as affirmative action is still in place, the college assumption isn't too unfounded, but I think too many non-minorities use it as an excuse for their stupidity.

Colleges DO have to meet certain racial quotas or they could possibly lose their accreditation. So yes, some races have to have higher SAT scores than others to be accepted to a specific college or university.
Can everyone who is posting or intending to post that all races do so please not post that. I already acknowledged that in my original post. There is really no need to be prickly.
