As you probably know, Lana recently had a little breakdown while signing autographs. The fans were being admittedly unruly but that's a problem every music star has faced, without ending up snapping and screaming at their fans. It was a little moment, but I think it foreshadows big things to come.
Based on this little episode, her SNL debacle, and the negative critical reception to her music, do you think she's ready for the big time?
From what she's shown to us right now... no I really love her music but like I've said before, I don't know if she's tough enough to handle the industry.
It's because she's not used to it. She's blown up in such a short space of time. Usually, it takes a lot longer for an artist to build up a fan-base to this size.
No. Every interview and performance shows that she can't handle lives of other big pop stars. She always talks about being a studio singer and boring on stage. I'm confused as to why she tried so hard to make it as a musician and sign to a major label like Interscope if she didn't want to do all the things that come with it. There's a disconnect with her image and actual ambitions.
Sometimes, I think she's a good example of "Be careful what you wish for, it might just come true."
I think she wants the recognition and the success for her music and brand, but she's not all that interested in or perhaps not ready for the scrutiny that comes with it.
She had a little breakdown. She went into a corner to sulk. Then she snapped and screamed at the fan; she didn't just say she already signed it. Like I said it was a little moment, but I can tell just from that episode there's trouble ahead. You'll see

And none of us can really say because we don't know her personally. She seems like a very shy and sweet girl, the industry is very hard and one is always criticized over the most frivolous things, she seems like she's very humble. I'm sure she'll be okay in the long run.
She's far too new to the industry to judge. She's still learning.
I don't think so. Look at gaga before the fame, you can tell that she knew what she was doing. Lana sounds scared in every interview. She's not ready yet.
You know, Lana's success is coming up very quickly and without much of a prelude; of course she isn't used to it yet. Regardless of how she has "handled" it thus far, her fame is only increasing. Let her work it out with time, she hasn't done anything outrageous with her fame and she can only go up from here. People need to stop acting like we're going to see her have a breakdown. Lana is a major label artist who is growing as a reputable artist as each day passes, end of story.
I don't know. Like Brandon said, it's too early to tell. Regardless, I'm still sort of scared, because to me she seems to have exactly the kind of personality that can only handle so much before something terrible happens.
Hope I'm wrong, though. And I very well may be.
Edit - Also, I haven't seen the video of the mentioned "breakdown" so that doesn't factor into this post.
