Does the way you release the name (artist) of your single effect it's charts/sales?

Example:
David Guetta - "Where Them Girls At" (featuring Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj) #14, Platinum
David Guetta - "Who's That Chick?" (featuring Rihanna) #51
David Guetta - "Without You" (featuring Usher) #4, 2x Platinum
David Guetta - "Turn Me On"(featuring Nicki Minaj) #4

I feel that Without You would have been a MASSIVE hit. It did have success, but not the success it could of had. Do you guys think maybe if it was Usher - Without You (featuring David Guetta) it would have been more successful?

I'm only asking because Rihanna released her WFL single as:
Rihanna - "We Found Love" (featuring Calvin Harris)
And the single went #1 almost every where, multi platinum, etc.

Of course. I highly doubt "Calvin Harris - We Found Love (featuring Rihanna)" would have been as big of a hit.

I think it's partially because we're trained to expect Rihanna songs to be hits. When I hear "Rihanna - ???" (especially if I know it is a lead single), I go into listening to it with the idea that it will be dominating the BB Hot 100 for a while. When I hear "Calvin Harris - ???" (especially before the exposure of WFL), I don't have that immediate reaction.

Its more likely to succeed if the main artist is established.

I never heard of Calvin, but I discovered I actually heard one of his songs before. It was when Chris Brown released "Yeah 3x" and Calvin accused him of plagiarism (issue got resolved, Calvin received compensation). I was no Chris Brown stan at the time but I remember stanning for Chris, saying this foreigner was jealous he ain't got no worldwide success. But now I love Calvin. His music is
