Do you agree that it is wrong for someone above 18 to be dating or fooling around with a minor?
Or do you think it's stupid? I really wanna know how others feel about this because I think it's stupid. I mean I guess if it's someone who's 50 and dating 12 year old, but I dont think an 18 year old dating a 16 year old should count as rape.
It's 16 in Canada, and if your 18 (or even 19) then I think it's fine to date a 16/15 year old. But once your in your twenties, I think you should start looking for someone in your age group.
I got an aunt who was married at 13. It was back in palastine though so its not that big of a deal back there. I think it has the potential to be very dangerous if someone allot older then you is in a relationship with you while you're young. When you're young you are naive and they will take advantage of that.
I just don't see why a 18 yr. old would want to date anyone younger than 16. It's gross. If i'm 19 and out of high school, I couldn't date someone still in high school. I'd feel like a pedophile. That;s just my personal mentally; however there isn't anything wrong with an 18 yr old wanting to date a 16 year old, but that's where the line draws. 15 and younger is a little weird to me. It's stupid that someone could carry a sexual predator title for the rest of their lives for being 18 and ****ing a 16 yr old. Really? I don't think the age of 16 should be the age of consent because you do have to keep in mind that their actual pedophiles who would take advantage of that. It's a touchy subject.
If it's a 67 year old dating a 17 year old then there's a problem.
However, If it's a 21 year old dating a 18/17 year old I don't see an issue.
Unfortunately in my town right now there's a case where a 17 year old girl broke up with her boyfriend who's 19. She's trying to charge him with rape when everyone knows she was an easy ***** who was just as easy to spread as peanut butter.
It's a sticky situation. Theoretically, someone who's below the age of 18 shouldn't be romantically or sexually involved with anyone 18 or older. It sounds ethically correct. However, some people below 18 are "too mature" to be in a relationship with anyone of their age, but because of the age of consent, aren't legally allowed to be romantically involved with someone more fitting for themselves.
I don't think the age of 16 should be the age of consent because you do have to keep in mind that their actual pedophiles who would take advantage of that. It's a touchy subject.
What's wrong with that? If there's consent on both sides, I don't see the issues with a 35 year old dating a 17 year old
