Um, there were pop stars before Michael, Whitney and Madonna... I'm not underrating their impact, but our faves were also inspired by music made before the 80s.

Ummm... we've only lost 2 out of like 20 legendary Pop acts. Its not like we've lost that much. Sure we've lost Michael (the biggest) but there are still more noted musicians remaining.

Michael, Madonna, Whitney, Janet (edit: & Prince) ruled the 80s.

We still have Janet,Prince and Madonna, but I see where the poster is coming from.

Sure there were megastars prior to them, but in the end no one's music and impact stretched as far as there's did in the 80's. It was a golden age of music.

Janet, Madonna, Prince, Stevie, among others are all still living.

With Whitney and especially Michael gone I guess I could understand how it seems like everyone is gone, but it's just not the case.

I hate when people bring up current popstars, people go "What about Whitney, Michael, they were here way before them". Like you said, no one talks about the "original ORIGINAL" popstars that dominated before them.

Janet, Madonna, Prince, Cyndi etc. are all still here.
