Last night I was on Twitter during Madonna's Superbowl performance and saw this tweet:

And it got me thinking about whether or not I'd "pass along" my musical tastes to my future children. My parents played a lot of their favorite artists at family gatherings, regular days at home, and in the car and although I do like some "oldies", I pretty much went my own route. Will you try to "pass along" your stannage for your fave to your future kids?

I wouldn't force my kids to listen to a certain type of music, However I will introduce them to my favorites for sure

Well I'm not going to force them to like Avril but they'll probably grow up listening to her in the background/car so will probably like her from exposure but I wouldn't make them stan for her or anything although I hope they will.

Of course I'll expose them to all the music I love, and perhaps hope that I'll have some mini-stans.

But I'm not gonna force them to like what I like, and they'll be more than entitled to listen to what they like, even if they end up liking artists I personally can't stand. If you try to dictate your children's tastes for the purpose of making sure that they'll have the same tastes as you, then it's a tactic that will backfire horribly.

GaGa will prolly be dead by then.

They better if they don't want to be grounded.

I don't want kids though.


But if I do have them, and they don't like artists I like, they are getting disowned.

One of my best friends is trying to raise his niece to be a Beyonce stan, though. It's working. She pretends to be Beyonce whenever they watch the I Am...World Tour DVD.
