Drake Will Act Again, Not As “A Rapper Or A Basketball
Any time we see Drake in a Hollywood-ish setting, like during his plane-delayed performance at Sundance last weekend, some of us still have a tiny uncool voice in our head saying, “That kid from Degrassi sure is talented.” And so, of course, VH1 News asked the Take Care rapper when he’s finally going to return to his thespian roots.

“I’ve been reading scripts for a while,” he said. “I want to do something great. I want to do something for my culture: the younger people who are still in tune with everything going on. I’m actually writing with my friends right now, [Maz Elsadig and Al Mukadam]. They have a production company called By Any Means Necessary, so we’re writing together trying to figure out the right movie.”
BAMN have been doing their part to showcase Drake’s acting skills, creating theatrical videos for him, like “Marvin’s Room.” As for what constitutes his ideal comeback role, Drake was quick to answer:

Do you choose a script that you don't want? I feel he has the right pick any script that he is comfortable with

Like I was bumping Room For Improvement before anyone gave a **** about him. I was sending people links to Replacement Girl and telling people to vote for him on 106 and Park. I was there cheering him on when Best I Ever Had started getting plays on Hot 97 and he suddenly blew up. Don't ****ing tell me I don't know him at all.
If you compare his interviews back then to now, he's not the same. I still love his music but he's become extremely pretentious. He kinda has the right to be that way musically since he's built a name for himself but acting-wise..no just no. And NO he is not a very good actor, he's only ever really been in Degrassi. No, he let his success change him. Growing up has nothing to do with it. I think if people actually felt he was a good actor he would actually have his pick of roles and wouldn't have to write his own. lol

He didn't say he was going to write his role. If you knew Drake as you claimed, you will know that he was part of an acting group from day 1 which he founded with other respectable people. He is writing too. He is thinking ahead like a business man. I hope you listened carefully to what he said..he said he has a lot of scripts that he is reading..ADIOS. lmao
