Shes blown up in Europe, her EP is sitting pretty at #4 and Video Games is 65 on iTunes(U.S) and rising with no promo . The other songs on the EP are charting on iTunes as well. She still has, correct me if I'm wrong, an SNL performance very soon.
I think she has a big shot at blowing up this year. VMAS Best New Artist nomination is in the bag.
And For the 2013 grammys, I think she has the Nomination in the bag as well.
Lana is nominated for International Breakthrough at the 2012 Brit Awards too.
Yes she is. I think shes actually going to be nominated quite a bit on the Grammys next year actually. Shes sexy, writes her own music and sings VERY well. Her music is Grammy material IMO.
I felt the same way at first, but I gave her music a few more spins.
I feel in love with the lyrics, and that eventually led to me loving the music as well.
Its different. And thats ALWAYS good. Esp when it comes with talent.
I guess I'll have to give her a few more spins then. Never really got into and dissected the lyrics. Her voice kind of puts me to sleep, although I love a good songwriter.

Doo it. And if you smoke, smoke a phatty and then listen to her. Her music is so good to the ears.
I'm not convinced Born to Die the single will be a chart hit in America, but I think she'll get at least two big hits out of the album (not counting Video Games, which has hit potential if rereleased when she's more well known by the masses). Lots of the songs we have heard demo/live versions of have smash-potential, I'd say.
I'd guess her album will sell very well, and she'll likely be critically acclaimed. Some high profile televised live performances throughout the year. I could see the media loving her and turning her into a celebrity beyond her music.
