As the 'The Devil Inside' doomed Horror moviegoers' faith. Let's hope the new remake of renowned Uruguay movie "Silent House" can redeem for the gerne.
The whole movie is told in real time in One Continuous Take as the original. And features the brilliant new star, Elizabeth Olsen, who gave her breakthrough performance in "Martha Marcy May Marlene"
The trailer just came out. Let's hope it will be good.
So this is a remake of The Silent House? I liked that one, though I didn't really get the end.
The trailer doesn't look like it's gonna be better.
Yes, It's the remake of The Silent House. Some who have already attended screenings at Sundance Film Festival said it was better than original. We will see.

Yes, wrong words, wrong camera works ...etc. If anything goes wrong, they will need to start all over again. And this is what makes the movie intriguing.
It looks good, and I'm not a fan of horror movies. Elizabeth Olsen proved she can pull off one hell of a performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene, and good performances in horror movies are vital. MMMM was kind of like that and this is why I'm excited.

Especially, the perpective of Silent House is mainly based on the leading character's vision.
Elizabeth Olsen definitely can pull the whole movie together. Just like her act in MMMM as a memory segments collector!
I love horror films. Hate that the big U.S. studios rush release crap just to profit.
Anyway, this film looks good. The trailer reminds me of The Strangers, which I loved.
BTW, Elizabeth Olsen kinda looks like Dakota Fanning in that pic.
I know all about the original, so I'm juiced for this remake. It looks so good. It's not in one continuous take though. Neither one is. VERY clever editing. It took a lot of hard work, and practice. The house is set up like a theater for a play. Must have been so much fun and a great time honing your acting skills.

It's barely like The Strangers, though.

Omg, can you explain me the ending on my wall, please?

I LOVED The Strangers also. The feel and look was so gritty and terrifying. Elizabeth is on my top my list of new actress'. She is AMAZING. Her older sisters, though rich and successful, must hate the fact that their acting careers aren't going in the direction hers is.

I knew it. They covered and marketed the gimmick well enough.
