Quite a controversial and debated topic, abortion has been legalized in many parts of the world. However the lines of abortion and often blurred. For example abortions are sometimes taking months out from birth when the fetus has formed, studies here have shown life experiences of the fetus as a living organism. Furthermore abortions are typically only allowed for "medical reasons," however this is changing and has merged into "human right" issues.

What are your thoughts here? Should our parents really of had the right to abandon us before birth? Should parents be required to know about their teenagers decisions in this regard?

First of all, I think this is a women issue. Men have no business in telling women what to do with their bodies. Secondly, it's a personal decision so it's a human right. You gotta do what you have to do.

Just think about it like gay marriage or fast food.

1. If the family (esp. the mother) clearly isn't capable to raise a kid, than it's Human Right.
2. If the reason of abortion is simply because no one wants the baby, it's a Murder.
3. If the mother's life is in danger and the family has to choose, it's Human Right (note: the mother has a bigger chance to live).

As a kid I always thought it was a right, but now I'm leaning towards murder.

You are all forgetting there are two other people involved here, the farther and the baby. I am not advocating either way but to talking about abortion like you'd talk about preferred brand of tampon dumbs-down the issue enormously and insultingly.
