So Base has just been launched...impressed with the concept?

Personally I think it's a move to make the board more functional and it will likely lessen the drama. Is that a good thing? I'm not so sure. Drama is a major reason why the lounge is indeed so popular. Also Off Topic reports in Music News will likely surge. There are already communities here, and off topic chat is normal in the Music News forums.

Finally I think it is a great idea moving polls to sub-forums.

It's a complete mess right now, but as the pot simmers and the inactive threads get deleted, it'll be a lot better

It's not a bad idea. It will be weird for the stanbases though to adjust because now along with the album thread and fanbase thread, there will be two homes kinda.

They should get rid of the album threads.

I think the album threads will die when all the talking moves to the bases, seeing as they're more general.

I like it. The album threads are full of chart statistics/sales/records and sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming, so this may take some pressure off.

It's a nice idea but it'll take a few days before we see if it really makes the forum run more smoothly.

Its a good idea IMO, if you want album stats and news you go to the album thread and get your info without having to look through countless pages of nonsense.

If you wanna nonsense about your fave then you go to the base.

I really like it, the mad rush to get certain artists is annoying though, the threads are looking a bit messy and lack lustre atm...I mean at least add a picture...

IMO the OP should be the most comprehensive source of receipts of every artist

Its much cleaner to just have straight forward fanbase threads. Members will know where to go for relevant info. But now we dont need the album threads.

I hate the way some randomers are making the threads. I mean some Beyonce stan made the Avril thread.... needless to say we blanked him/her and created our own thread sourced by the Avril stanbase. Next time don't make a thread for us sis. Stick to your own stanbase.

It will help with a lot with the amount of threads created. A lot of it can now be in the Base forum.

More than in other forums, the categories are extremely helpful in Base.

The one annoying thing is knowing the right thread to post in!
