This is my first poll hehe I took what I consider to be the most Iconic pop songs from female artists and want you to decide which is number 1. Think in terms of the song, music video, cultural impact etc.
Anyone voting for anything other than Aretha's "Respect" doesn't know anything about music. The song has been the mantra for the women's movement since the 60s. It is still being played on radio today and still being used in commercials, promos, etc.
Let's see where those other songs are FORTY-FIVE YEARS after their release.
This is tough. They're all iconic, except Bad Romance; she's unknown for that song but people give it wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much!

Single ladies, as much as I don't use Bey, was a global force. The impact of that video will forever live on. Bad Romance, cute song and video, I never saw it as a iconic anything. But then again, The Monsters love to throw that "iconic" word around for their fave.
Maybe i'll take the top 5 songs from this poll and add I Will Always Love You and I Will Survive down the road. I wasn't sure if IWALY would be considered "pop" though.
