Gaga tops list of charitable celebrities

For the second consecutive year, the "Born this Way" singer topped the Celebs Done Good Top 20 list compiled by the teen-focused volunteer organization DoSomething.org.
Pint-sized pop icon Justin Bieber came in second place, with actors George Clooney, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio rounding out the top five spots.
Gaga, 25, won accolades for backing anti-bullying legislation, the start of her Born This Way Foundation and her continued support of the MAC AIDS Fund.
Bieber jumped to No. 2 from No. 10 last year after launching his multi-faceted Believe Charity Drive and encouraging his army of dedicated "Beliebers" to support the school-building charity Pencils of Promise.
Clooney gained recognition for his advocacy of human rights in Sudan.
Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith continued their admirable work with educational projects, DoSomething.org said, and DiCaprio made a difference supporting a global petition against elephant ivory trading.
Entertainers made the list not only by donating money but also through actions such as Gaga's visit to the White House to discuss bullying with members of President Obama's administration, a spokeswoman said.
"We wanted people who really rolled up their sleeves," Aria Finger, the group's chief operating officer, told the Daily News. "Giving money is important, but it's about more than just writing a check. It's about making an impact."
She said songbird Maria Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, grabbed the No. 15 spot by visiting food banks as the face of Feeding America's Stomp Out Hunger campaign.
Finger said the list, now in its fourth year, added a Facebook voting component for the first time in 2011 and a fan favorite spot, which went to actress and environmentalist Sophia Bush.
Actors Matt Damon, Demi Lovato and Daniel Radcliffe along with recently estranged couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore also made the elite lineup.
