Heart To Yours went on to become one of the most successful and influential contemporary gospel releases of the 2000s.
It topped the US Billboard Gospel chart, eventually spending a total of forty-six weeks on the chart before being listed at #6 on the 2002 Year-End chart.
The album was also met with critical acclaim from critics who praised the "non-hasty production" and Michelle's "delicious", "soulful" vocals.
