Ignorant people outside the musicforum world who claim they know everything about music.

Doesn't it bother the crap out of you ? When it's kinda obvious that we kinda know more about them about the music world, heck some of us know even more then a couple of artist in this industry.

Last night I was trying to tell my sister that artist don't provit from album sales but from tours and appearances. Her reply, all too funny "That's not true, they get millions of dollers to perform on shows like X-factor and when they win grammy awards"

I hate to admit that I have been known to correct people when they get sales figures or chart positions wrong. It's so embarrassing and I wish I had a filter

I pretend not to know as much as I do , but I like to correct sometimes to appear more versatile in regards to my scope of knowledge.

I always think of it like this... Sports fans know all kinds of statistics about their favorite teams. They remember what the scores were of each game for the past bunch of seasons, and some of them even remember important plays during games five years ago.

We're like that, except music. We know what songs were out at the same time, we know which ones did better than the others, we know who's irrelevant and when the last time they had a hit was, etc.

Twitter - only knows somewhat , and not to the extent of ATRL members. Somewhat ignorant.
Ordinary People- who don't seem to know the difference between liking an artist's music and being a fan/stan.

Yeah but there's also another problem... I personally tend to miss big hits that no one on ATRL talks about. Like that TPain and Lilly Allen song... I remember the thread when it leaked, and I listened to it then and forgot about it. But in the car the other day we heard it on the radio three times and my friends were all talking about how much they love it.

My coworkers once said it was stupid that I knew who produced a pop song. I pointed out they out tells you a lot more about the song then the artist in pop's case.
