When I first heard Nothin on You, I didn't get Bruno Mars.
And when I heard JTWYA I thought he would be a one hit wonder.
Grenade's success was surprising to me.
And when I first heard it I hated the Lazy Song.
Then I heard Grenade on the radio and finally got it.
When I heard the Lazy song again It was catchy and fun.
When Lighters came out I became a fan.
And since it's release It Will Rain has been a favorite.
Bruno is now one of the few artists I love, and my artist of choice right now.
It also took me a while to like Drake. Take Care is one of my favorite albums this year.
What artists did you start out hating and now love?
I don't remember hating any artists, but there were certain artists I underestimated.
I liked Pon De Replay for example, but when I heard her 2nd single, I wrote her off as one-hit wonder.
I liked Just Dance, but I assumed she was one of those dance artists that enjoyed 3 minutes (not 15) in spotlight with 1 semi-successful song and then just fade forever. (but that was long before Just Dance started to smash).
I think that the one that was the biggest to me was Ke$ha... I was not a fan at all when Tik Tok came out... i didn't care for her and though she was just a drunk ****... but thats only when i heard the song... I didn't even know what she looked like. I watched Your love Is My drug to start and like her and listen to some of her songs... it took take it off to make me a complete stan. And it took me Cannbal (album) to purchase her Animal album... Now I am a ****ing hardcore stan... she is amazing!
Adele. Her sudden rise from irrelevance bothered me a lot at first. While I still find her overrated, I enjoy about half of 21 and kinda stan for her at times.
I hated her when I first saw her in JD and PF..
But when the PF video came out I became a stan
I stan Katy before her too
Same. At first I hated Gaga so much, but when Paparazzi came out everything changed.
Now I'm giving Bruno Mars a second chance, I don't hate him anymore.
