I realize everyone's right to an opinion and feel that we should discuss our own personal feelings on religion. Respect and understanding are crucial here, girls.
My personal feelings:
I don't follow or believe in any Religion.
I don't not consider myself an atheist, as that imo is a separate religion on its own, full of hate and contempt for religious people.
I believe religion at its very core is a good thing. A way to encourage living good lives. Humanity, however warped it badly into a cess pool of war, hate and guilt.
I respect most religious people. They have found a way to live their lives through faith and good deeds.
I do not respect pushy religious types or people who use religion to their advantage.
I'm hoping this will be more of a "share your ideals" discussion rather than a hate filled debate.
I realize that these type of discussions rarely end well, but I hold on to hope

I would hope so too, but sadly that never happens.
I don't believe in religion. It divides people and gives them inane reasons to kill other people just because they have differing beliefs. I wish there never was religion. People should be good for themselves.

I am not a religious person. I feel as though faith should have been placed into humanity. Imagine the respect we'd have for one another. I do believe that popular religion has corrupted what at some point was genuine, but religion can do good things. It really depends on the person. By the end of the day, it just isn't for me.

This.
And I can't @ people who wish religion didn't exist. Religion has shaped humanity in a different way, so without it we would not be where we are now.
