Discussion: Charitable?

Is anyone here very charitable for their community or anything?

I know for me I hate my community, nothing but a bunch of old people and retards. But I like helping people...so I participate in a lot of local cleanups and volunteer a lot at animal shelters. I also give blood every 56 days, but the only reason I like doing that because the needle feels good (

)

So does anyone else value such things?

Well, I use to help around my church. Feeding homeless people, and having gatherings, but every since I graduated from high school a year ago, I haven't really been participating. But I need to start attending church again.

That's nice. I wish that I could convince my family to do a bit more, either be more active in church or follow my lead by donating blood. They don't like to be charitable because they're lazy

I've always loved to help people. I just hate I can't be as generous as I use to, because there's tons of scheming around my neighborhood. I can't tell who's genuine or not.
