Not in the U.S., It's very popular in Europe. It sold about 350M books to date.

I want to see this movie because it looks really good, not because the cartoon itself. Tintin was never THAT part of my childhood.

It's really only booking in France so far, but I imagine it'll play well in Europe over the holidays.

I don't think US really uses Tintin like that, although the comics are HUGE in Europe. As a family movie over the holidays, it'll still make bank thoguh.

The animated show/comic book has been huge in Europe for decades. I really want to see this movie.

Tintin

It was such a prevalent part of my childhood. Even though I never really read the comics, it was just this force you couldn't escape. It was everywhere.

The trailer is underwhelming and mocap still looks...off...but the reviews are encouraging. Tintin is the ultimate adventure, but the trailer doesn't sell that to Americans who don't know anything about it.

Saw it two days ago an its EPIC.

The movie is amazing. I remember watching Tintin when I was younger, I've always loved it because it was the kind of kid serie that was a little bit scary and cool.
