Immortals may not have been the next 300, but it was at least strong enough to claim the top spot at the box office this weekend. It earn nearly $70million worldwide with a $32 million estimation in U.S. , and a $36 million + estimation overseas. Immortals , which is less than half of 300's $70.9 million and also way off from Clash of the Titans's $61.2 million. While those are both very similar movies, it's a slightly unfair comparison given the marketing dominance exercised by their distributor Warner Bros. In its own right, Immortals was actually very impressive. It is distributor Relativity Media's best opening ever by a long shot (Limitless was the previous high with $18.9 million), and it's also the top opening for a movie not released by a big six studio since Lionsgate's The Expendables debuted to $34.8 million last August. Finally, it's the second-highest opening for an R-rated 3D movie ever.
Anyone saw it? It got serviceable plot, though, filled with mind blowing(literally) imagery.
By the way, the atrocious Adam Sandler's movie "Jack and Jill" still defied critics and earnd $26 million.
I saw it, And I thought it was entertaining and visually stunning! Although Athena being Zeus' daughter made me take pause, they could have easily made her Aphrodite if they wanted Zeus to have a daughter in the movie.
Haven't seen it yet either. I doubted it at first. I thought it was gonna be another "300", "Clash of the Titans", and Prince of Persia" clone. But it deserves all the recognition it's getting right now.

Yes
I was like "huh"?
But it was obvious they needed to put Athena in it for all the fight scenes.
I need to see it, but I'll probably wait for the DVD because I have no friends or family who would go see it with me and I refuse to go to the movies alone.
