CRITICALLY PANNED
Adam Sandler's movie Jack and Jill, co-starring Al Pacino and Katie Holmes, has so far received a ZERO PERCENT rating on the Rotten Tomatoes website, basically meaning it's the worst-reviewed of 2011, and probably one of the worst-reviewed films of all time.
It's currently tied with Bucky Larson: Born To Be A Star, another Happy Madison production, and the Sarah Palin documentary The Undefeated as having the lowest percentage ever.
Rolling Stone critic Peter Travers wrote a scathing review:
Quote:
"On a scale of 1 to 10 on the laugh meter, Jack and Jill is a negative 10. A total bust, a stupefyingly unfunny and shamelessly lazy farce packed with cringe-worthy jokes and overt product placement."
|
And Time Magazine's Mary Pols wrote:
Quote:
"More than 24 hours has passed since I watched the new Adam Sandler movie, and I'm still dead inside."

Oh. Wow. There couldn't possibly be a worse review of the film.
Sorry, Katie. Looks like another dud for you.
General Critics Consensus: Although it features an inexplicably committed performance from Al Pacino, Jack and Jill is impossible to recommend on any level whatsoever.
