I prefer Canada, and I've always wanted to live in Toronto.

America. It irks me how numerous people have built up a dislike for the American nation and its people, yet they obsess over American pop culture. It's a major contradiction.

I don't think so. It's not really that bizarre for someone to have a strong dislike for a nation's government, social system, cities, etc. yet enjoy the music and films that outpour from said country. They don't necessarily go hand-in-hand.

I think culture is more important. I may not care for the US government, but I won't judge an entire nation based upon those who are in power.

I would say Canada in regards to government and democracy and standard of living, health care, blah blah. But Canada is such... a non-****ing-entity when it's pitted against US culture and history. New York, Boston, LA, Bay Area, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, muscle cars, hamburgers...it's all just so beautiful. I can't see myself living anywhere else.

You throw in Thanksgiving when we've got Thanksgiving, and hamburgers when everyone's got hamburgers.
And screw the 4th of July, we celebrate the 1st of July, it's Canada Day!

Canada big time, I wouldn't know what I'd do having to pay ridiculous amount of money for health care.

It goes beyond that. If the only thing that you like about a country is its music, then there's nothing wrong with concluding that you dislike said country.

Yet Canada produced some of the best selling female artists of all time; Celine, Shania, Alanis, Avril.. & I find the history of Canada just as interesting. Also We have Halifax, Kingston, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver to compete with your cities.
