Will your fav's make the top 10 list?
Here's the list for the top 10 debuts of 2011 so far.
Obviously Gaga has #1 locked up barring any real surprised, but there is still plenty of room for upcoming albums to crack the top before Dec. 31st.
We've got Drake, Rihanna, Daughtry, NickelBack, Mary J. Blidge, Lady Gaga (remix), Taylor Swift (live), Glee (Christmas), Young Jeezy, T-Pain, Black Keys and Amy Winehouse still to come.
At Christmas time, sales can be inflated and anything can happen!!
What are your predictions??
01 - 1,108,403 - BORN THIS WAY - Lady GaGa
02 - 963,970 - THA CARTER IV - Lil Wayne
03 - 447,411 - MYLO XYLOTO - Coldplay
04 - 436,078 - WATCH THE THRONE - Jay-Z & Kanye West
05 - 351,649 - 21 - Adele
06 - 347,479 - OWN THE NIGHT - Lady Antebellum
07 - 310,309 - 4 - Beyonce
08 - 276,446 - FEMME FATALE - Britney Spears
09 - 270,381 - F.A.M.E. - Chris Brown
10 - 234,527 - WASTING LIGHT - Foo Fighters

Britney, Chris, Foo Fighters, and possibly Beyonce are going to get knocked off of the list.
The only ones I see debuting over 200k is Drake, Daughtry, NickelBack, and Mary J. Blidge

I really hope so. I'm worried that Rihanna in terms of sales will be overshadowed by MJB. That being said, after maybe 5 hours, Talk That Talk somehow is already #39 on pre-orders, so maybe she can get a big debut. It's so wishy-washy at this point though so it could be 190k or it could be 275k, who knows. I think Drake is gonna sell around 550k, at the very very least is easily gonna be #5 or higher.

I don't really expect Taylor to debut with 235,000+ with a live album... But my fellow Taylor fans have left me pleasantly surprised before

Jeezy could actually push some units with TM103. He's been hyping this album up for years. The Recession opened with 260,000 copies and the Inspiration 352,000. My man has selling power... now let's "get, get, get itttt".

I didn't either, and then just like that Taylor Swift took over the top spot (soon to be top 2 spots) on the iTunes song chart.
Add to the fact that it is being released on Black Friday when TONS of shoppers will be out and well, anything can happen!!!

Rihanna could actually make it onto the list, somewhere between #6 and #10. Though, if we're basing it on previous first week sales, I'd say that we should expect somewhere between 200k and 300k.

[Hmm. I do think Rihanna (most likely) and Drake both have a shot, maybe Amy as well given her death.]

This hoe Rihanna is going to prove all of y'all wrong with her getting Black Friday sales, having the #1 song in America, releasing "You Da One", coming off a huge era, consistent increases in debut #s, and me standing on the corner, naked, promoting... This bitch may very well open with 250,000+.

I think there could be a couple surprises over the next few weeks that could make the chart interesting.
MJB's last album wasn't huge, but when the Breakthrough pt1 was released in 2006 it sold 700 000+ copies... the follow up might do well.

I agree. Everything is going perfectly this era; more so than her previous eras, actually. Her first week sales have consistently increased and the general public, for the most part, is hyped up about her new album. I wouldn't be surprised to see 250k-300k first week sales.

Taylor will open big even if it is live.
Drake wil obviously be high up.
Mary & Nickelback may make the list but they may also be knocked back off.
Daughtry won't make the list.

My predictions:
Drake: 375-500k (#3 - #5)
Rihanna: 200-300k (#7 - OFF)
Daughtry: 175-225k (OFF)
Nickelback: 250-350k (#5 - #10)
Mary J. Blige: 300k-400k (#5 - #8)
Lady Gaga: 50-100k (OFF)
Taylor Swift: 125-200k (OFF)
Glee: 75-150k (OFF)
Young Jeezy: 175-250k (#10 - OFF)
T-Pain: 145-175k (OFF)
Black Keys: 125-225k (OFF)
Amy Winehouse: 300k-500k (#3 - #8)
There will definitely be some surprises, though.
