I really don't give a **** anymore. Eddie Murphy was the most inspired host choice since Chris Rock, and Brett Ratner had to go and **** THAT up, too. We can now add this to his career of ****ing things up, which includes, but is not limited to, the X-Men film franchise, the action film genre thanks to the Rush Hour series, Hannibal Lecter, and the video for "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'". *shudder*

Ella, you know as well as I do that Eddie Murphy is *not* James Franco.
Maybe he wouldn't have become a long-term host like Crystal and Martin, but, as a one-time thing, he sure as hell wouldn't have been worse than Franco and Hathaway.
Mostly because of James Franco though. Anne did the best she could under the circumstances. She was still nominated for an Emmy for her hosting duties!
