: TORONTO - Pedro and Buddy - two gay penguins - were tossed out of the Toronto Zoo, let loose on the streets.
Zoologists at the Toronto Zoo first tried to separate the "gay" penguin couple at the Toronto Zoo but that caused a commotion both among zoologists and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
But in the middle of the night, several anti-gay-penguin fanatics (AGPeFs) snuck into the penguin exhibit - snagged Pedro and Buddy and threw them - separately - onto the street.
Luckily, Pedro and Buddy found each other behind an Italian restaurant.
UPDATE: Bill Rapley, executive director for conservation, education and wildlife at the Toronto Zoo, now tells the National Post that Pedro and Buddy’s separation will only last as long as it takes for them to inseminate their respective female partners. Once breeding season is up, Pedro and Buddy will be able to reunite.
There are lots of gay animals. My neighbor had two gay dogs.
Anyway, I laughed when I read the title, but quickly felt disturbed when I read the article. It's one thing to discriminate against people, but animals? They're definitely not harming anyone. Another case of idiots worrying about things that don't affect them.
