Why on EARTH has no one posted this yet!?!? (See the bottom of this post for 100% legal free download links provided by Dawn herself)
This song is said to be the lead single (though that version will be different) from part 1 of her upcoming album trilogy, which will start with "GoldenHeart, be followed by "BlackHeart", and will be rounded out by "RedemptionHeart."

After changing up the girl group game FOREVER as part of Danity Kane (RIP!) and providing the sweet crooning on tracks like "Hello Good Morning (feat. T.I.)" as one-third of P. Diddy's 2010 side project Diddy-Dirty Money, 28-year-old Dawn Richard has been putting in WORK for years now.
But after serving up her skills inside a few groups, the talented vocalist is finally stepping out on her own as a solo artist. As a treat to fans for Halloween, the "Show Stopper" crooner (oof, I just miss those girls so much!) released an acoustic version of "SMFU (Save Me From U)," the lead single from her upcoming album, crafted by up-and-coming producer Druski. Set on top of a gorgeous piano melody and a gentle guitar strum, Richard lets her soulful stylings fly on her solo debut: "I'm tired of waiting, I'm tired of calling/Only for you to let me down," Richard achingly cries out.
Even though it's just an acoustic version of the still unreleased single, "Save Me From U" is an incredibly promising indication of things to come from Ms. Richard. Watch for her debut album, GoldenHeart, dropping in 2012.
Dawn is so freaking talented. Her voice is so unique. Unfortunately I don't have much use for her because of the whole Danity Kane mess. The song is good though.

Why is the DK thing affecting your perception of her as a solo act? Especially if you think she's unique and talented? :] I bet you'll love her album and end up changing your mind.

Me disliking her doesn't mean I don't see how talented she is. I rarely listen to music from artists I don't like. I can say yeah she's talented, but I wouldn't buy her album because I don't like her. I know it sounds odd. Maybe I'm not explaining it right...I'm tired lol.
You guys should check out her mixtape #ATellTaleHeart also!
+ the remix she did for Novacane!!!
