People have pretty much the entire holiday season to buy the last part, the collection or the previous movies. Even after December 29th, they may still be available for purchase, until stores run out. Warner Bros. must be pretty confident about the re-release to make such a radical move, but I can see why. If there's any franchise with a big loyal fanbase, it's Potter. For many, the books and movies defined their childhood. In the end, Warner Bros. holds all the cards and I think the re-releases could be extremely profitable if they play them right.
