Kelly Clarkson has a lot of good things going for her: two Grammy awards, four multiplatinum albums, a diehard fan base. One thing she doesn't have? A boyfriend. In an interview with USA Today, the 29-year-old American Idol winner and "Mr. Know It All" singer reveals she's never been in love.

"I've never experienced certain things, and I think that's because I have this side of me that is shut off," Clarkson says. "Because I haven't found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, 'OK, you're worth breaking down that wall for.' I've never found that."

Though Clarkson is still searching for The One, she doesn't want to get married until her late 30s. "Statistically, if you wait that long, you're not going to get divorced," she explains.

Clarkson says her nonstop touring schedule makes it nearly impossible to find Mr. Right. "It's really hard to date when I'm on four different continents in a week," she says. "Even if I do meet a great guy, I ain't ever gonna see him. There's only so much you can do with Skype!"

She dated some guy Graham Colton for 7 months in 2006. She also dated some guys called David Hodges and Ryan Key. She probably has had boyfriends but she keeps her personal life very private so maybe the media just doesn't know about them.

Sounds to me like she's repressing memories. We all heard Breakaway and My December. If she didn't love the guy then why'd she write so many damn songs about how devastated she was by him?

She didn't write/claim to write that song...

She said she's never been in love not that she's never loved someone and you can still be devastated by someone you deeply care about even if you don't love them.

Because you think you are in love at that time and then find out it was not love it was lust
and no matter what it was if someone hurts you the way she got hurt, you are going to be depressed and have a hard time for awhile with it.

She also said she likes writing depressing songs, because its story telling and more people can relate to them.

You're splitting hairs. Bottom line: you don't write umpteen songs about them and continually allude to them in public if you weren't in love with them.
