But that's where I feel the emotion. In the delivery of the words. When I record I'm not up moving around, haha. I change the way I sing different songs by being softer at different times, and in this song, for instance, I wanted to make sure the choruses had confidence in them.
Also, in the second verse, just before the chorus when the lyrics "All my windows still are broken, but I'm standing on my feet" were sung, I put a little more into the way I sang it. I'll take your "slight pause" suggestion and see what I can do with my singing in the future. I wish I could get vocal lessons to bring out the emotion better. :]
