Cheryl Cole's soldiers will be pleased to know that the gorgeous Geordie is planning to release her third solo album next year.
According to The Metro, Chezza is hoping to "dominate" the charts in 2012, promising to deliver a fresh batch of new solo songs, as well as reuniting with Girls Aloud to celebrate their 10-year anniversary.
The newspaper claims that after being sacked from The X Factor USA, Cheryl has used her new found free time wisely, putting all her efforts into recording the follow-up to her previous No.1 LPs 3 Words and Messy Little Raindrops.
A source revealed: "Cheryl’s actually been working on her new album since the very beginning of the year and the first single should be out early next year,"
"She’s loving the experience this time around because she has never really had the chance to spend a decent amount of time recording her albums as they’ve always been fitted around the X Factor."
They explained: "It’s the first time she’s been able to properly take her time exploring and teaming up with people. The full album should be ready to go out within the first six months of next year."
Earlier this week, the Fight For This Love singer was spotted with hip-hop producer Alex Da Kid in New York, with The Sun reporting that Chezza and the 28-year old have been enjoying late night studio sessions together.
Alex Da Kid, who worked with Eminem and Rihanna on their hit collaboration Love The Way You Lie, is said to be calling upon some of the biggest names in the business to help Cole with her new material.
An insider told the tabloid: "Befriending Alex is good news for Cheryl. He's highly rated – especially in the US."
"Alex's protégé Skylar Grey will contribute to Cheryl's recording sessions too. She co-wrote Eminem and Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie with him – and that was the biggest-selling song of 2010 in the UK."
They added: "With Will.I.Am's input too, her next record will have a more polished American feel to it."
Cheryl was seen in New York yesterday, wearing skin-tight jeans and a cropped cowboy shirt - exposing her stomach as she went for a stroll in the Big Apple.
