Rihanna sorry for keeping NI waiting
Superstar Rihanna has apologised to her Northern Ireland fans on Twitter after being booed for starting the first of her three Belfast gigs an hour late on Thursday night.
From being scolded by a farmer for being scantily-clad in his Bangor field during a video shoot to being criticised by unhappy fans waiting to see her perform, Rihanna has definitely made an impression on the Northern Irish public.
BELFAST sorry for being so late 2nt! BIG SHOW! FIRST NIGHT! Things don't always run smoothly or as planned, but I dearly appreciate ur patience.

The region has been gripped with Rihanna-fever all week. On Thursday night, fans lined up outside the Odyssey Arena to prepare for the Barbados beauty's first Belfast date in her Loud tour.
The atmosphere was great as the crowds worked their way up the queue.
"I'm excited to see the whole show! I love her music, she's great," one fan told UTV.
Another said she was "looking forward to singing along to the songs. There's been a lot of hype the last couple of days, so it's good to finally get here... I love all her songs, her music. I like some of her style."
She was the Only Girl in the World that fans wanted to see, and they waited over an hour for the pop princess to appear on stage as Rihanna was running late.
After the show, Twitter was abuzz with rumours about the performance, including claims that the singer had compared Belfast to a "slum" - rumours which Rihanna strongly denied on her Twitter account.
I don't even use that word! SO.... BELFAST I love you!!!

Earlier this week, a topless Rihanna was asked to cover-up by a local farmer when filming the video to her latest single, We Found Love, and it seems she took DUP Alderman Alan Graham's words to heart, as she appeared on the Odyssey stage wearing a coat.
But a fan at the concert thought Ms Fenty's wardrobe choice was fine: "If you've got it flaunt it... It's what she does - leave her to it.... The excitement it created in and around Belfast to see a superstar here was amazing. She was great for lifting the spirits of people."
We Found Love is the first single from Rihanna's forthcoming sixth album, and the 23-year-old seems particularly happy with the music video, describing it as "the best she has ever done".
During filming she hit the streets of the New Lodge, bringing the north Belfast estate to a standstill as fans turned out hoping to catch a glimpse of the singer.
The track features Scottish DJ Calvin Harris who is supporting her on the Loud tour. Calvin played an opening set to warm up the crowd and later tweeted: "Yeeeeaaaahh first Rihanna show went off this is going to be a fun tour!"
In the end, fans begged Rihanna Please Don't Stop the Music but the pop princess took a bow and retired from Belfast's crowds, until her Friday and Saturday night appearances.
