Last.fm has many "hipster" users, so that would explain all the bands at the top. 
But I think this could be pretty accurate.

This.
And most Last.FM users (atleast the less publicized demographics) seem to be really into rock music. A good example would be Radiohead. They have over 300 million plays. More than Gaga, Britney and several other huge pop artists combined.
