yeah I can already see fans and haters arguing over Born this way's sales, the 99 deal etc. but I'm actually hoping someone would actually discuss releasing a free album. I think this is a really good idea. and if someone doesn't do this now the industry will eventually come to that anyway

Well, I'd rather her sell 10M albums at 99 cents than 1M albums at 9,99$ for example. Like he said, it's how many people you can reach. And the touring makes WAYYY more money than the album sales..

Only 10% of her income comes from record sales, so she'd probably love this. A way to get her music to as wide an audience as possible who can then contribute to that other 90%.
