Ok, so I have a question about photoshop? I am in the process of using photoshop on my first creation, but I am running into some difficulty.
I am trying to use the erase feature with layering, and I was wondering there was a way of some tool to erase so it will the exact shape of what I am trying to put onto the background layer.
For example, I am trying to layer another person's face onto a photo, but it's really jagged looking from erasing by hand.
a: If there's hair or fur, then use the Quick Selection Tool, then use the Refine Edge tool.
b. Cutting out almost anything else, use the Pen tool for quality.
c. Removing a certain color from a picture (like a green background): use Color Sample.
And never, EVER use the magnetic lasso or the blur tool, I can't.

If you have the face selected you can copy it..
I'm not really sure what you're trying to do, though..
I'm making a little collage thing. I'm going to make them transparent on another picture. I don't understand copy it. It's already a layer on my project...

Delete the parts you don't want. If you have the face selected you can select inverse then ctrl+x.
Hey Doc (or anyone), how do I make text that has a background color? I want to put text over a gif, but since there's so many colors in the gif it's hard to read, so it needs to be black text with a white background, or vice versa, to stand out. But I don't know how to make a background color for it
